Botanical Description

Hummock to mat-forming. Leaves grey-green, narrow and sharply pointed. Flowers pure white, 1.6cm across, deeply fringed and very fragrant, carried on stems 1.5-3cm high. Native to U.S.S.R. from Ukraine to Kazakhstan. Needs a sunny, well-drained site. Good in a wall or paving. A dwarf form, sold under the 'Nanus', is ideal as a trough plant.
