Raymond Ikola
Raymond Ikola was a judge for the 4th District Division 3 of the California Court of Appeal. He assumed office on January 10, 2003.
Ikola was appointed to the Orange County Superior Court in November 1995. He was appointed by Governor Gray Davis in December 2002 to the 4th District Division 3 of the California Court of Appeal. He was confirmed on January 10, 2003.[1]
Ikola retired on July 1, 2021.[2]
Biography
Ikola graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1962. He received his master's degree in electrical engineering in 1963. He worked as a research engineer at the David Sarnoff Research Center for RCA Laboratories until 1971. During this time, he continued his education at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and earned his Ph.D. in electrophysics in 1972. He then enrolled in the University of California, Hastings College of Law, earning his J.D. in 1974. After law school, Ikola practiced civil business litigation an associate and then a partner with Wenke, Evans & Ikola from 1974 to 1987, as a partner with Hufstedler, Kaus & Beardsley from 1987 to 1990 and as a partner with Snell & Wilmer LLP from 1990 to 1995.[1]
