This Volkswagen Bus got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1969 Volkswagen Bus was acquired by its current owner seven years ago following a cosmetic refurbishment in Savannah Beige and Ivory under current ownership, and has since been fitted with a new 1,600cc flat-four, upholstery, brakes, suspension bushings, heater ducts, and more. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual gearbox as well as modifications such as BRM Speedwell wheels, a retro-style stereo, a banjo steering wheel, black window trim, and a front sway bar. This Type 2 is offered by the seller on behalf of its current owner with a clean California title in the owner’s name.

The van is said to have been repainted under previous ownership shortly before it was acquired by the current owner in 2013. Features include black window trim, body-colored bumpers, and dual mirrors.

Chrome 17″ BRM Speedwell wheels wear Greenlander Enri U08 tires with 2016 date codes. The suspension was lowered and new bushings are said to have been installed under current ownership along with a front sway bar and new brakes.

The interior was reupholstered in tan vinyl with nylon seat faces and matching door panels. The carpets were also replaced, and the black dashboard houses a vintage-style stereo with a hidden Bluetooth module.

An aftermarket banjo steering wheel frames instrumentation including a 90-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. Just under 50k chassis miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, with total mileage unknown. Repairs to the heater ducting system were performed under current ownership.

A new air-cooled 1,600cc flat-four was reportedly installed by Bugformance in Sacramento, California for the current owner, and the van is said to have been driven fewer than 300 miles since.
