This 2004 Volkswagen Passat GLS is one of 89 wagons for the model year in North America that was built with a turbocharged 1.8L inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle and 4Motion all-wheel drive. It was registered with one owner in Washington until it was acquired locally in 2015 by employees and then the owner of SK Motorsport in Bellingham, where it has been a shop car since 2022. Finished in gray over gray leather, it has GIAC engine-management software, a receiver hitch, 17″ alloy wheels, heated front seats, and a Monsoon sound system with a CD/cassette stereo. This B5.5 Passat wagon has 199k miles and is now offered at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a clean Washington title in the name of the seller’s business.
Revisions for the 2004 Passat included projector-style fog lights, black lower-bumper trim, and side indicator lights in the covers for the heated mirrors. This example is finished in gray, and it also has tinted windows, dual exhaust outlets, and a Curt receiver hitch. Stone chips on forward surfaces, a dent on the left side, damage on the rear bumper, chips in the roof rails, curb marks on the wheels, and other flaws are shown in the gallery below.
Fitted at the factory with 15″ alloys, the car now rides on 10-spoke 17″ wheels installed with H&R hub spacers and 225/45 Barum Bravuris tires. Electronic Differential Lock traction control and an optioned Electronic Stabilization Program are additional elements.
The heated front seats and split-folding rear bench are trimmed in gray leather, and walnut trim accents the cabin. Appointments include a HomeLink transmitter, an eight-speaker Monsoon sound system, and a CD/cassette stereo. Torn upholstery on the outer bolster of the driver’s seat, broken climate-control vent trim, flaws on the rear seats, delaminating door-panel trim, and other blemishes are shown in the gallery.
The four-spoke multifunction steering wheel is mounted on a tilt and telescoping column, and the instrument cluster has silver-bezel dials surrounding a central trip-computer display. The digital odometer indicates 199k miles.
The turbocharged 20-valve 1.8L AWM inline-four sends power to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system with a Torsen center differential. The engine has been fitted with GIAC engine-management software according to the seller, who reports that the clutch assembly was most recently replaced along with the rear main seal in June 2021, after which the timing belt was also replaced.
The exhaust system has corrosion and damage that is shown further at the end of the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Washington.
