Exochorda ‘The Bride’, commonly known as Pearl Bush is a beautiful, bushy, deciduous shrub with long arching stems and oblong-shaped light green leaves. In April and May the Exochorda X Macrantha ‘The Bride’ produces these wonderful pure white racemes making a beautiful pure color dotted across the stems.

A perfect low-maintenance garden shrub known for its ease of planting and little need for maintenance, recommended planting locations include many areas from beds or borders to containers that can then restrict the growth to make it more manageable in smaller spaces such as sunny balconies. Other planting schemes include cottage, informal or city planting making a beautiful all round garden plant.

Exochorda The Bride care

Plant the Exochorda X Macrantha ‘The Bride’ in a sunny, partially shaded location with well-drained, moist soil where it will thrive. Generally disease and pest free and requiring some pruning makes this shrub perfect for beginners and expert gardeners alike. Simply cut back in winter months any dead or damaged shoots, and any weak, spindly twigs so the shrub can concentrate on a vigorous, more healthy growth.
