How to Grow

Planting Depth: 2-4”

Plant Spacing: 6-8”

Spring Planting: Pre-sprout corms indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost date in spring. Transplant pre-sprouted corms after temperatures are above 25F. Bury soaked corms 3-4 weeks before your last spring frost date.

Fall Planting: Corms can be planted in fall without winter protection in zones 7-10, and with winter protection in zones 5-6.

Growing Tips: Store corms in a dry location at 40-65F until you are ready to plant them. Soak corms for 2-3 hours in aerated water (water left running) right before planting, corms should double in size. Bury the corm pointed downwards. Water carefully with 1-2” of water a week, allowing the soil to dry between waterings, and increasing watering as temperatures warm.

Harvest: Harvest single stems as low as possible just when petals start to unfurl from the bud for the longest vase life of 5-8 days with flower food.
