Primula burmanica

Purple flowers up to 30cm (12in) from June to July and growing 20cm (8in) wide. Prefers retentive, moist soil in sun or light shade.

Burma & China. First collected in 1914 by Kingdom Ward in N. Burma. Grows in wet meadows and woodland. Useful for pondside and bog garden sites. Vigorous and persistent candelabra primula.
