In 1933, Kunstnernes Hus had an exhibition with Axel Revold. The exhibition contained everything from small intimate sketches to large works. The motifs you could see were landscape motifs of sea and forest, as well as portraits and compositions. The exhibition contained, among other things, Fishermen in the Mediterranean from 1914 and Sketch for Deichmann from 1931.

Axel Revold was born in Ålesund in 1887 and was a Norwegian painter. He was also a professor at the Norwegian Academy of Fine Arts in 1925 until 1946. Revold led a private painting school in 1924-1925. Some of his works are inspired by Norwegian folk art. The motifs are often from Nordland with symbolic figures.
