Musk mallow is one of the wild mallow species that can be found on the side of roads in Denmark and is therefore ideal for "wild-on-purpose" (Vild med vilje) gardens, as it can thrive in both the perennial bed and in tall vegetation. However, if it is given its own place in the perennial bed, you can expect a much more splendid growth and flowering than if it grows in the grass.

Musk mallow is a very beautiful semi-tall mallow with funnel-shaped pink and white flowers that bloom over a long period of time. The plant withers in autumn but shoots happily from the same root in spring, so you can enjoy the flowers year after year.

Musk mallow is less showy and shorter than its cousin, the greater musk mallow (which you can also find on this page), but fills smaller gaps in the perennial bed perfectly.
