The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Not examined out of frame. The canvas is not lined. Minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges. With light surface soiling and wear. A few scattered tiny pinpoint pigment losses. Examined under ultraviolet light. The canvas presents with a milky green varnish. No apparent inpainting or restoration. Please note that Christie's does not guarantee the condition of frames.
