Description

Traditional summer flower. Large, more or less double, pleasantly fragrant flower buds in a splendid color mixture. Well-branched growth habit. Excellent for cutting and discount cultivation.

Sow seeds on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost and lightly cover with a sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or a warm place until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatize young plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12″) apart.
Alternatively, later sowings of seeds can be sown thinly outdoors direct into a nursery bed, and transplanted into final flowering positions in the autumn.  Stocks thrive in the sun and light shade. Beautiful cut flowers. A real cottage garden variety that combines well with Delphinium and Godetia.
