Distribution: Native to Macaronesia, Europe and the Mediterranean to Kazakhstan and West Himalaya according to the Plants of the World Online portal.
Habitat: Open habitats, usually on disturbed ground – cultivated land, roadsides, wastelands and other ruderal areas, sparse shrubland.
Flowering period: Late spring – early summer: MAY, JUN.
