The driver – Aubin – allegedly showed “obvious signs of impairment" and was arrested after field sobriety tests.

“She later submitted to a breath alcohol test that determined that she was over three times the legal limit,” according to Lt. Gregory Ferry of the NHSP.

Nadeau was a passenger in the vehicle and he also allegedly “displayed obvious signs of being under the influence, he was acting erratic and confrontational,” according to Ferry. He was initially taken into protective custody and transported to Troop D with Aubin. Then, according to Ferry, Nadeau allegedly refused to comply with instructions and continued to be erratic and confrontational, so he was arrested.

Aubin was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court on April 29; Nadeau was held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections and later released. He’s due in court on May 27.

According to previous reports on Concord NH Patch, Nadeau has been arrested a number of times.

Last year, he was arrested on simple assault, unlawful possession of alcohol, resisting arrest or detention, disorderly conduct, and endangering the welfare of a child/incompetent. In 2012, he was arrested for burglary, criminal mischief (vandalism) and receiving stolen property.
