  • One of our most vivid, intense blue flowers available
  • Blooms in spring, then sporadically throughout summer
  • Good groundcover on open slopes or on retaining walls

This evergreen sub-shrub has an excellent, vigorous, low-growing habit that makes it perfect for rock gardens and containers. It has cute, small blue flowers that cover the entire plant in the spring. Rich green foliage is needle-like. Flowers attract the attention of butterflies, as well as onlookers.

Uses: Containers, Mass Planting, Rock Gardens
Nature Attraction: Bees
Critter Resistance: Deer
Notable Features: Evergreen
Growth Habit: Mounding, Spreading

Homeowner Growing Tips: Grow in full sun (or part shade in hot climates), in moist, well-drained soil. Amend with compost before planting. Good in a raised bed, rock garden, or spilling over a retaining wall. Avoid crowding by larger plants. May be trimmed lightly after initial bloom. Apply mulch for the winter. Dislikes the hot, humid conditions of the deep South.
