Mod Description
this is fully functional for use by players or just AI. it can be spawned, driven around, fight and die just like any other "tank". AI gunners (not exposed) are invincible until their turrets are destroyed. AI gunners (exposed) have their damage resistance increased to almost 3x. bullets will still kill them no problem but this will make them more likely to survive shrapnel from near by explosions. Secret weapons turrets have their damage resistance increased to be more balanced with iron front.

The Landkreuzer P. 1000 "Ratte" (English: Land Cruiser P. 1000 "Rat") was a (possibly fanciful) design for a 1000-ton tank for use by Nazi Germany during World War II, that may have been proposed by Krupp director Edward Grotte in June 1942, who had already named it "Landkreuzer". Submitted designs and drawings of the vehicle went under the names OKH Auftrag Nr. 30404 and E-30404/1, which were presented in December 1942. The tank was planned to be 1000 tonnes, being far heavier than the Panzer VIII "Maus", the heaviest tank ever built (weighing 188 tonnes). The project gained the approval of Adolf Hitler, who had expressed interest in the development of the tank, but was cancelled by Minister of Armaments Albert Speer in early 1943.

Q: Can I walk/climb around on it ?
A: Yes, but you will need Enhanced Movement mod or something similar

Q: Is their a "real" version of this in arma?

Q: Why is it spawning all broken up?
A: You need to click off Vertical Mode & Surface Snapping before spawning any comp, last pic above shows were to find it.

Q: is this amphibious?
A: no, but it can be. just replace the primary mammoth tank for an amphibious capable vehicle like the vanilla AMV-7 Marshall. see the "what is the "refit" / how can i make my own version" question and answer below to see how

Q: do you plan to make the P. 1500 monster SPG version?
A: not at the moment, as far as I know there isn't gun in arma 3 big enough. if one becomes available then sure.

Q: Is it historically accurate / Is it Balanced?
A: HA! its as historically accurate as a fictional prototype with no surviving blueprint, with the absurd yet accurate classification of " land cruiser ", in a arma game .... so no, god no. as for balanced, yes and no; yes in the sense that it can be disabled and even destroyed by air, tanks, and even bold infantry. no in the sense that, in a 1 on 1, it has no equal, and must be "swarmed" by overwhelming numbers. every fight to kill this will be a battle.

Q: How do I disable / destroy it?
A: Its not easy to disable let alone destroy but it can be done by every branch given enough time, numbers, and firepower. Its "engine" is a panzer 2 located within the shipping container at the rear of the P. 1000. ( see in last couple pic's before the concept art ) if this is destroyed, either from AP bombs from panes, a couple t-34 or is-2 shells from the rear furry style, or charges / AT mines from infantry for example, the mammoth at its core is scripted to also be destroyed, immobilizing the P. 1000. still the primary and secondaries turrets will still be active and need to be destroyed. basically, except for nukes, there is no 1 ww2 shell or bomb that can instantly destroy it, only " death from a thousand cut " will take it down for good

Q: what is the mammoth mod for/ can I remove it?
A: The mammoth acts as the P. 1000's armour/ hp. I don't know how much that is, or how much the ratte should have. but in play testing it feels about right, allowing it to shrug off tank fire from every angle. if you desire less mods you could replace it with a vanilla or iron front tank, however this would make it have considerably less armour and hp allowing it to be more easily destroyed by shooting its sides and rear. the tin fences that make up its hull is just for show and offers as much armour as ... well as much as a tin fence would. bob semple would be proud.

Q: shouldn't it have panzer 8 maus turrets / 2 x 280mm main guns?
A: yes, it should have panzer 8 turrets but their camo didn't match at all ( as seen in pics above ) so its got panzer 6 turrets upgraded to 127 mm. as for the main guns i know it should be a Gneisenau turret but i couldn't find one in arma, this was the closest "turret" I could find (305 mm)

Q: what is the "refit"
A: the "refit" is a fictional late war era model (1946-47) adding more AA, and 4 sponsons loosely based off the "concept art".

Q: why use nazi flags ?
A: its for IFF ( Identification Friend or Foe ) and its the biggest era appropriate "German" flag I could find. for example if one of these is captured the flags can be switched so be able to tell at a distance that it belongs to that faction.

Known Bugs & Issues

- Lack of collision - this is a arma issue, using a attachTo command removes collision.

- Script errors - they work, they just like to complain about it. it only happens when it "dies".

depends on what your willing to give up/ replace. if you dont want to use plp theres a version that uses metal fences instead, see pics above. CSA is used for the mg turrets/ flags/ and engine. naval legends is used for the main & single AA guns. ifa3 is for the rear AT & AA guns. and the x66 is the base vehicle allowing it to be "tanky"as hell

@Kellney: if your talkin about the CSA38 mod assets used from it are Nazi flags & the panzer 2's that act as anti-infantry turrets at the front & the vehicles engine

@mariobris888: srry dont know that error, never seen it before. maybe try using the none lite version of ifa3

its missing its main weapons, havent gotten around to adjusting their size to work with the new secret weapons weapons. if your lookin for a prop though there is a p.1000 prop in this mod thats much better looking

vs tanks its a boss battle, vs planes its a joke, vs inf its can be a mixed bag. theres a part in the q&a that explains how to kill it
