Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' - Black Mondo Grass

Each 6" tall circular mound is composed of truly black 1/4" wide foliage. Spreading by rhizomes, a single plant will make a nice 20" wide mat in 2 years. For fast coverage, we plant on 8" centers. This easy-to-grow groundcover makes a great backdrop for blues, golds and good imaginations. Plant in part sun to shade. Hardy in zones: 5-10. Grows 6" tall. Origin: France. AGM Winner.
