Staff was really kind and helpful. The intention with our stay was to help our daughter to move from one apartment to another in Uppsala, so the location was great. Breakfast was also good.

With its majestic cathedral as a backdrop, Uppsala is an old and fascinating city lined with tranquil waterways and home to a medieval old town, botanical gardens, and several historical landmarks such as Uppsala Castle.
The lively and colourful main square of Stora Torget is surrounded by narrow cobbled streets, shops, restaurants and cafés.
Gamla (Old Town) Uppsala offers visitors a step back in time and gives an insight into what life was in medieval times. The old town features the Temple at Uppsala, pre-historic and Viking burial grounds and traditional Swedish houses.
Upsala houses the 15th-century Uppsala University and has a large student population which in-turn means an energetic nightlife; this is reflected in the bars, pubs and clubs located around the city centre and university quarter.
The city is a popular and ideal base for travellers visiting Stockholm and Arlanda, both of which are easily accessible from Uppsala Central Station. A wide range of accommodation options are available throughout Sweden via Booking.com.

I visited Uppsala because I couldn't secure any rooms in Stockholm. But my oh my, it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The city was so lovely and easy to navigate. I walked around, visited numerous landmarks, and had lunch in a cute little restaurant, Guntherska. Once in your lifetime, you should make time to visit Uppsala.

Beautiful and compact size city. Not too crowded yet.
Beautiful and compact size city. Not too crowded yet. Easy travel from/to Arlanda airport. Bus(801) is cheaper than train. Short distances almost everywhere in the city. Rentable E-bikes and E-scooters available. English language is widely in use. My experiences are from summertime only. I`ll definately come back again.

Uppsala is one of Sweden's oldest cities and well worth a visit. I had not been for 30 years and was so pleasantly surprised how much there was to do both within the city and just outside the city. It's very walkable and very safe. I loved my visit to the University Library to see the Silver Bible "Codex Argenteus". I also love churches and the Cathedral the biggest in Scandinavia did not disappoint. Gustav Vasa the founder of Modern Sweden is buried here. The botanical garden I am sure is wonderful later in the year when it's all blooming. I ate at the cafe near the gardens called Cafe Victoria and it was excellent. There are lots of eateries and "watering holes" but be mindful alcohol sold in bars and restaurants are very pricey. Use the Systembolaget and get a bottle and have a picnic in the park. Uppsala is a university city so very lively and has easy access to Stockholm should you wish.

The fourth largest city in Sweden.
The fourth largest city in Sweden. A university city that can be compared to Cambridge in the UK. Famous for its cathedral and university campus. Also hosts a very good choice of bars and restaurants. Located 55mins from Stockholm City and only a short train ride from Arlanda Airport.

City I love to visit, very easy for tourists, good shopping and restaurants. Public transport is great, or you can hire a bicycle and get round like the locals.
Clean and safe, lots of history, old city, cathedral and castle. Was once the capital of Sweden.
Very close to nature, easy to get to the old Viking mounds.
Down side, it's expensive,
Very clean, easy to reach from train station and extremely helpful staff. We also appreciated the fully equipped studio - we had all the things we needed during our stay of almost one week. Usually hotels in Sweden are clean and comfortable, still this one is at even higher level than what we have encountered so far. To be mentioned also the very fast reply to our inquires and and the support from the staff to adapt to our travel arrangements. Super clear details on how to take the key and how to reach the place.
Everything was excellent
Location is minutes from the central station. Lots of shops, restaurants, and bars close by and city centre is only a few steps away.
Staff were nice and responsive.
The room was fine, and WiFi was reliable and fast.
Shared bathroom and shower facilities were more than adequate.
Highly recommend staying here when visiting this lovely town. Uppsala is only 20 minutes away from Stockholm Arlanda Airport and about 40 minutes from Stockholm City.
This hotel is very nice. It is located not far from the center, near the park and one of the main sight- the cathedral. The hotel is in an old building, but inside everything is quite modern. There are some numbers in honor of famous people in Sweden. My was named by Sweden poetess Karin Boye. The rooms themselves are restrained, concise, but with a pleasant atmosphere. Good breakfast, wonderful back yard with tables overlooking the cathedral.
Really comfy bed. Very helpful and friendly staff, especially Julia. Staff very accomodating and helpful when needing to extend my stay. Great location, easy acces to train and city centre. Visited with a friend but would feel very comfortable as a solo traveller staying here. Lovely to have coffee/tea in the lobby when needed, but a kettle/tea/coffee in the room was very welcome too. Would stay here again when in Uppsala
Really exclusive and exceptional experience- just imagine, that you stay not in the just hotel, but at your family house.
It located in very picturesque and charming place, near the forest, where you can have promenade.
The house itself is very cozy and atmospheric, and Aranka, the host, herself preparing the breakfast for you every morning, which felt like home.
Logistics to the place was non problematic.
I didn't have a problem with anything. I'm an older traveller but like the minimum of fuss and good cleanliness, and that's what I got. I can't understand the moans about the showers. If there's an overhead shower you can take it off the hook and use it. Being Sweden I found all guests respectable and they left the showers clean and dry. The water was plentiful and hot, and isn't that all you need.
The hotel is on the edge of the city centre. I have a room facing the park and it was totally silent. The staff are excellent, they are always ready to help. They have a policy of only making your room up if you ask for it, so no having to leave for half the day if you are tired (I arrived at 3 am), but if you need anything the house staff are only too happy to help.
Very helpful staff, a comfortable and clean room. A pretty good breakfast system to avoid overcrowding and they can help recommend good places to order food from after their restaurant closes.
Free parking is amazing.
Breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of things to choose from.
This is my new go to hotel whenever I will find myself in Uppsala again!
Excellent stay overall. The hosts, Anders and Simona are very nice and kind people. Their dog Saiba is very friendly and jolly... 😊.
The house is well decorated and very beautiful. We also cooked meals in their kitchen. Felt like living in my own home...
Definitely coming back here if we ever visit Uppsala again.
Nice restaurant, remote-work-friendly environment. Gym is comfortable, there is a sauna and a relaxation room but there is no pool in this hotel. Breakfast was amazing. Ice machine in corridors but no fridge in the room. Beds are comfortable, room is neat and clean. Might be the best hotel in Uppsala.
excellent breakfasts (one of the reasons we returned to hotell Svava). staff are friendly and even made us a packed breakfast when we had to leave early on our last morning to catch a flight. great to be able to park under the hotel with inside access (note that the car park isn’t owned by the hotel)
Breakfast was nice. Hotell feels clean. Reception staff and especially Jennie very nice and helpful. Location is great, close to the center. My room was incredible, high ceiling, on a corner, and with a 4 poster bed. That the parking is right next door. Nice bath products.
As always, fantastic breakfast at Clarion hotels. It really had everything you need. Very comfortable beds, also the extra bed was big and soft – a real plus. Parking garage in the basement was very practical. Walking distance to good restaurants and city center.
I like the cleaninness of the place.
I was at home with the friendliness of the staff members.
I was satisfied with the facilities in the hotel including laundry, kitchen and lobby.
A cozy and personable hotel within walking distance from Uppsala station. Nice common spaces, varied breakfast. The restaurant selection was also good.
