In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Allen explained her transformation into Taylor. “I ordered a wig off of Amazon. It came the next day, and I cut it myself as best I could to make it look like Taylor. I went through YouTube tutorials learning how to cut curtain bangs, and I had the best time just trying to lock in the look of Taylor as best I could.”
The actor knows she has big shoes to fill
Seeing another actor play Taylor will be a big adjustment for The Bold and the Beautiful fans. Hunter Tylo portrayed the beloved heroine on and off for 29 years, with her last appearance occurring in March 2019. News of Allen replacing Tylo was met with mixed reactions from viewers.
Most of the responses were positive, with fans welcoming Allen to the show and happy to have Taylor back. However, some people refuse to accept anyone other than Tylo in the role. Allen understands how loyal fans are and says, “nobody can ever replace Hunter Tylo.”
However, Allen is committed to making Taylor her own. “She is a woman of great strength, and that’s what I am prepared to bring to the role,” she told Soap Opera Digest.
What to expect with Taylor Hayes return?
Allen is already filming at The Bold and the Beautiful. The actor reveals a Tridge family reunion with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Although Taylor’s return will be a happy occasion for Steffy and Ridge, it won’t be for Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).
