Taking a look back at red carpet galleries from past Logies ceremonies is like opening a time capsule from happier and occasionally weirder times.

Over the years, iconic Australian couples have attended the illustrious awards ceremony, often leaving empty handed and occasionally leaving in separate cars.

From Bec Hewitt looking loved up with Beau Brady in 2004 to Bachelor stars Alex Nation and Richie Strahan barely looking each other at all in 2017,  TV's night of nights has certainly been interesting over the years.

Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan - 1988

Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue were the on-screen and off-screen lovers who captured the hearts of Australians on Neighbours in the 80s.

They looked happy enough at the 30th Annual Logies in 1988, posing at their last event before they both pursued music careers with varying levels of success.

However, the couple didn't fare too well and called it quits in 1989.
