Malva moschata known as Musk Mallow is a beautiful naturalized wildflower that is very cold hardy and can be grown in zones 3 - 8
The fall is the perfect time for sowing these seeds in their permanent location outdoors. Plant after a hard frost has occurred and they will stay dormant over the winter and germinate in the spring when the weather warms up.
It is perennial and will return year after year. They will happily self-seed, left to their own devices, and make a beautiful statement plant in the garden with their tall, highly-branched appearance and myriads of pale pink flowers
They are beautiful as cut flowers and last a long time in a vase of water
The beautiful, saucer-shaped flowers attract butterflies, bumble bees, honey bees and humming birds
The name 'musk mallow' was given due to the fact that the seeds were once used in the perfume industry

Musk Mallow will grow 2 - 4 feet high
