Addi Turbos, often called the “Cadillac” of knitting needles, have a hollow brass core that is strong yet very light weight. The turbo plating provides a smooth surface for fast knitting. Addi’s cable is flexible, strong, and never coils or kinks while you’re knitting. Addi Turbos may be coated with nickel. Newer needles may be coated with white bronze, with a process that uses less electricity and water, and is more environmentally-friendly.
Addi Rockets include all the features of Addi Turbos but have sharper, longer points that help with lace or cable knitting, or picking up stitches along an edge. Originally called “Sock Rockets” in the smaller sizes, some packaging may still say that. Rockets are available in all sizes now.
All circular knitting needles are measured from tip to tip. For example, a 16″ circular needle is 16 inches from one needle tip to the other. Made in Germany by the same family who began manufacturing needlework tools in 1829.
