Yucca filamentosa 'Color Guard'

Yucca filamentosa Color Guard is a robust, evergreen perennial shrub with a clump-forming habit. This subtropical beauty has decorative, broad swordlike leaves. The leaves have stripes in yellow and green, and form a large foliage clump. In winter the yellow stripes can get a rose blush. Yucca filamentosa is native to South East USA, mainly Carolina to Florida, where it grows is woodlands as well as along the coastline on slopes and dunes. The slow-going Yucca filamentosa is the most cold hardy Yucca and great for patio containers, gardens and landscaping. During early and midsummer, cream coloured dangling bell blooms flower, attracting pollinators. Yucca filamentosa is commonly known as Adam’s Needle. Other internationally used common names for Yucca rostrata are: Needle-palm; Spoonleaf yucca; Aiguille d'Adam; Yucca filamenteux. Evanthia has Yucca filamentosa Color Guard available all year round, as tissue culture young plants. Ask our team for the Yucca manual for commercial production.
