The leaves have stripes in yellow and green, and form a large foliage clump. In winter the yellow stripes can get a rose blush. Yucca filamentosa is native to South East USA, mainly Carolina to Florida, where it grows is woodlands as well as along the coastline on slopes and dunes. The slow-going Yucca filamentosa is the most cold hardy Yucca and great for patio containers, gardens and landscaping. During early and midsummer, cream coloured dangling bell blooms flower, attracting pollinators. Yucca filamentosa is commonly known as Adam’s Needle.
