If you're looking to add beauty to you garden and attract butterflies & hummingbirds these seeds are for you!

These seeds were collected from my garden last summer & fall and air dried to help ensure quality.

If you have never had the pleasure of growing double fringe poppies before this is what I can tell you:

Double poppy plants (peony poppies) are USDA zone 3-8 rated. They are annual ornamental plants that resemble peonies with their large, tightly packed double flowers, 4 to 5 inches (10-13 cm.) in diameter, which form on long, 2 to 3 feet (61-91 cm.) tall sturdy stems laden with blue-green lettuce-like leaves.

After the bloom you can dead head to encourage new blooms, or you can leave the pods to sun dry. Each pod is capable of making several hundred seeds. If you don't want them traveling around freely your best bet is to clip the dried pods as soon as the seed windows open. Save the seeds and simply sow in the following Spring.

You don't have to plant these seeds like common garden seeds. Simply rough up your soil, sprinkle the seeds, and water well until germination. I sprinkle my seeds over the garden mulch areas. The seeds make their way to the soil with no raking needed.

If you want to enjoy the blooms start sprinkling seeds in the spring. Wait two weeks and sprinkle some more. Repeat the cycle for 6-8 weeks. This will allow you to have poppies blooming summer through fall without fail.

Each lot of seeds will have 10 grams. That doesn't sound like much, but this means that you will be receiving around 1,000 seeds! Each lot contains seeds for both red and pink varieties.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I have been growing peony poppies for over 25 years. I have learned quite a bit about these beauties as the seasons have passed.
