Replica collection fragrances

Maison Martin Margiela introduces a nre fragrance named From the Garden, which is part of the larger Replica collection titled "Reproduction of Familiar Scents and Moments of Varying Locations and Periods." This collection aims to capture the essence of different places and times through its diverse range of fragrances.

For this edition, the place that was chosen was Puglia in the year 1998, associated with perfumer's memories of a botanical garden.

The inspiration for this fragrance comes from perfumer Olivier Cresp's personal experiences, as he reminisces about cherished moments in his childhood garden and shares similar experiences with his son, Sebastien, through the green and earthy notes of this scent.

From the Garden embodies the feeling of a sunny afternoon in a garden, complete with the earthy touch of the soil, the scent of ripe tomatoes, and the buzzing of bees. It blends the freshness of tomato leaf and green mandarin with the earthy notes of patchouli and geranium, resulting in an elegant and crisp fragrance that evokes memories of serene moments in a sun-drenched garden.

I have a handful of MMM perfumes. I adore jazz club, love BTF, enjoy under the lemon trees and have a full bottle of discontinued "funfair evening" and really enjoy d/c "lipstick on". I love the idea of the replica scents but this one sounds kind of boring. The last scent was on a date which had a nice wine note until it was overtaken by old lady floral scent. I was excited about under the stars until I read the notes and reviews and now a garden scent? I'm sure it's lovely but I feel like you could go with such unique "memories" in this range that a garden sounds like you are phoning it in.
Im starting to worry that they have lost all the cool unique ideas that made this range fun.
I would give this one a try but I have no interest in doing that until springtime.

Sounds interesting. Some scents from this brand are hits and some are real misses. I love Jazz Club and Lazy Sunday Morning the most. Matcha Meditation was a decent release which didn't really smell like matcha to me but it was a pleasant floral scent. Others like Under the Lemon Trees, By the Fireplace were misses to me. This new one sounds like it could be up my alley, refreshing and probably green and floral. Looking forward to it.

I agree with previous comments- odd timing to release this kind of fragrance, spring/summer would have been more appropriate.
Not particularly interested in trying this, the majority of fragrances by MM are weak in projection/longevity and are very overpriced for what they are.
However, there is always exception to the rule- 375x500.31623.jpg Maison Martin Margiela By the Fireplace is the most memorable and beautiful fragrance from this house.

Tomato leaf!!!.... Bring it on .
Love this note
Hoping the longevity will be good as a common complaint with MMM Frags is - weak.

But negativity aside .... This sounds like it will smell fantastic!!

I agree this is an odd time of year to launch this, but it sounds terrific. I love tomato leaf as a note, and look forward to sampling this.

Concept sounds unique but tomato leaves? Having grown tomatoes, I can confidently say that the plants smell like cat urine. Hopefully this will be an artistic rendition instead?

Otherwise, pairing this with geranium sounds... scary.

I adore tomato leaf, but vetiver and geranium can be hit or miss for me, so I'm pretty curious as to whether this will work for me!

I am a very big fan of this range - even if I haven't loved every release. It's so nice to see a designer brand that take a different approach toward their fragrances rather than the standard generic "let's just make what's popular" approach.

Whilst other brands are bringing out their umpteenth fruity floral, these guys are making Tomato Leaf scents. Love it. 😆

I can't wait to try this. Though it's kind of an odd release for the fall.
