Just as I was about to ooh and ahh over the pretty makeup Maria Menounos is wearing in this photo, I noticed something that made me want to give this look a B+ instead of an A. Do you see what I see?
It's her lip liner that's bugging me. The color is noticeably darker than her lipstick and it's distracting.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not completely against lip liner. It helps lipstick last longer and it's good for defining, especially if you're wearing a red shade. But I think it works best when you fill in your lips completely and layer a lip color or gloss on top. That way you don't end up with a overly visible outline like Maria's.
What's your stance on lip liner? Do you own one? Am I being too hard on Maria?
