What Earns The "Chuck Norris Seal of Approval"?

This is the trailer for "Last Ounce of Courage"—an indie film, premiering today, directed and written by Darrel Campbell. The plot seems to involve a father and his family and their fight for freedom. But as near we can tell, it seems to really be about the moral decline of, presumably, President Obama’s America, in which patriotism is being sucked out by those who believe in an actual separation between church and country.

Naturally, the thematic implications have led many critics to compare it to Dinesh D’Souza’s recent, successful conservative documentary, "2016: Obama’s America." And Chuck Norris—current Expendables 2 co-star, once and future Internet meme, longtime conservative supporter—to give it his ’Chuck Norris Seal of Approval.’

That made us wonder: what does one have to do to receive this rugged stamp?

Well, for starters, the tangible product has to meet his criteria or, what he likes to call, his five F’s: Freedom, Family, Fitness, Faith and Fight. ’Last Ounce in Courage’ fell under three of those selective categories: according to Steve Veritas, the studio head behind the flick, Norris sent out his love because the film will "help raise [Americans’] voices in support of faith, family and freedom."

Now, Mr. Norris does not hand out this ’Seal of Approval’ too easily. We did some research to discover what else Chuck Norris has signed off on and we only found one other ’Seal of Approval.’ And you might be using it for your whites and colors.

In 2011, Walker, Texas Ranger, approved Era Detergent; a laundry detergent made by Proctor & Gamble that shows off the street creds on its homepage. Not because of Freedom (to wash), Family (to do the washing), Fitness (of doing laundry) or faith (that your clothes will smell phenomenal after one cycle). No, silly, Era Detergent fights stains like Chuck Norris fights bad-guys: it’s silent but deadly.

So, this weekend, be an American and go check out ’Last Ounce of Courage’—a movie as notable as Era Detergent. Chuck Norris approves this message.
