And so needs to be 'dealt with' seperately.

It took me a lot of research with some help from the professionals in the facebook Seaweeds sisterhood (though not exclusively women). Eventually we got it down to Myrionema strangulans which, fortunately, is in the iSpot drop-drop-down menu.

This creates brown patches on Ulva species but mostly Ulva intestinalis, which is where I began.
There is more work to done, so this is just a taster.
Picture 1 shows the degrading Ulva and is taken in mid June.
Picture 4 shows a discussion-illustration (Item D) as submitted to the FaceBook Group. It shows other interests of course
Picture 5 shows the pool in the drainage channel from the sands - a NICE place!
The rest is history now.

I will make a new Observation in a few days time after some microscopy - I do have a lot of material so may stretch to three Observations as it is a first for iSpot.
