Devonian Red Seaweed

Observation - Devonian Red Seaweed - UK and Ireland. Description: This was a loose piece, think it's the same as one of the growing species in the rock pool, photo 3.

This was a loose piece, think it's the same as one of the growing species in the rock pool, photo 3. Back of my hand for scale in photo 2. Sorry, no microscope (at the moment).
.
I have tried to read about the Plocamium species developments following some pointers in the classic https://www.ispotnature.org/communities/uk-and-ireland/view/observation/793314/my-wetboard#new, the linked paper https://img.algaebase.org/pdf/562DF314143de342E0jNH20FBE8A/36629.pdf - a bit challenging for this mere mortal. Or ask Doris for labelled photos at https://doris.ffessm.fr/Especes/Plocamium-cartilagineum-Plocamium-cartilagineux-677
.
There are three ?? possible species, one is very small P maggsiae (shame it's probably not that one!?), P nanum which has long ramuli - branchlets ??? and P cartelagineum.
.
So, choice is genus or the cartilaginous one on the basis of seeing some relevant features?
