Phycodrys rubens on Poolewe beach

Observation - Phycodrys rubens on Poolewe beach - UK and Ireland. Description: One of the seaweeds with the name Sea Oak, but I did find the odd thallus with a passing resemblance

One of the seaweeds with the name Sea Oak, but I did find the odd thallus with a passing resemblance to an oak leaf. A red seaweed, with leafy looking blades growing from a creeping axis. The membranous thallus has a central rib with opposite lateral veins. The margins are toothed and inclined to be frilly.
