Last season Arsenal proved they were the Kings of London when they went through the whole campaign without losing one London Derby, but suddenly the Gunners find themselves in a psition where they could be facing their third derby defeat in a row, and Mikel Arteta must have been overjoyed to see his warm weather break arrive so he could try and correct our excrutiating form in front of goal.
With the news that Oleks Zinchenko is still not available Arteta has his left-back oroblem to solve. Or will he have coached a tactical use of a back three formation in Dubai?
When Daisy predicted the team earlier, she has thought that the ever-safe Arteta will have decided to stick to using Kiwior in place of Zinchenko, and to be fair, the defence has not been the biggest reason why we have stopped our exellent scoring run, is it?
So here is Daisy’s “safe option”.
Raya
White – Saliba – Gabriel – Kiwior
Jorginho
Odegaard – Rice
Saka – Jesus – Martinelli
And right now we’ll find out if Arteta has decided to be brave or not and try something new against the Eagles….

Trossard starts instead of Martinelli by the looks of things
Good lineup. Martinelli could play in the second half of the game, after Trossard tires Crystal Palace RB out
Arsenal just need to man-mark Mateta and Andersen tightly in set-pieces
Arsenal: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Rice, Odegaard, Havertz, Saka, Trossard, Jesus.
Subs: Ramsdale, Cedric, Walters, Kiwior, Jorginho, Smith Rowe, Nelson, Martinelli, Nketiah.
Saka picked despite being poor for the last 3 – 4 games. Havertz in MF has been a poor choice for many weeks now. I prefer him to be tried as a striker despite him missing chances against Liverpool as even the best miss chances and this was his Ist start as a striker. ESR benched despite having good cameos. Would have preferred more freshening up of the team.
Just hope the boys can come up trumps and Arteta knows something after the warm weather training.
We need a win today and a convincing one. If we are to challenge for the league this season we need to go on a winning right now.
I bloody hope arteta gives ESR more minutes today.
Bench options at the back seem like massive drop in quality 😞

Arsenal must return to starting game strongly and hit this organized Roy Hodgson outfit hard and early then kill the game.
Roy Hodgson though is no chicken, this season campaigner came back from the ashes to share the spoils with the champion.
I really wish MA would play ESR and why not give Kiwior a run out against, forgive me, what appears to be a relatively poor Palace lineup (no choice for Hodgson of course) especially on their right side. He must believe we need Zinny to help the attack, but I hope not.

Nothing but a win will do (obviously) but hoping for a convincing win and a great performance. We have yhe players but they do sometimes seem to be afraid and play safe, we need the ball played 10 time faster and not keep passing the ball backwards but you don’t need to be a genius to know that

Hoping for improvement on both fronts
Arsenal made several misplaced passes and lost in duels at the beginning of the game. They wouldn’t win UCL if they don’t improve their accuracy and concentration
Crystal Palace just played long ball and hoped for the best. Their high-press was awful and they didn’t block the half-spaces, so I would be very surprised if they score in the second half
Trossard didn’t play too well, so he might get replaced by Martinelli or Smith-Rowe
I didn’t think Trossard was too bad. Finishing wasn’t great but he put himself in good positions to be effective.
I didn’t notice Havertz at all and found the build up play ponderous at times. I thought Odegaard put in a decent amount of effort
Some petty fouling and a bang average performance from Palace. We were better but they need a rocket up our collective arses in the second half. The crowd needs something to cheer about

I got a kick out of seeing Leandro effectively block off Joachim Andersen to free up Gabriel for the two goals. btw, beautiful corners by Rice and Saka
Although Rice is superb at what he does all the time, I SEE NO SPECIAL ABILITY IN HIM TO BE EFFECTIVE WHEN PLAYING FURTHER FORWARD.
He is a great interceptor of the ball and tackler and ground coverer, but not a great space finder when he passes.
Most of his passes are mundane, safe, but show no special Odegaard type passing ability. Reality, at least to me.
Conclusion; I for one would NOT play him further forward at all.

From Raya’s throw to Trossard’s finish – that was what I wanted to see
The Arsenal march starting XI for our today’s Epl home match against Crystal Palace, is a strong staring XI team on the cards, which is close to the stronger Arsenal orthodox starting XI. If Partey, Tomiyansu, Martinelli and the erstwhile Xhaka were starting the match. But Xhaka who in place of him, Karl Havertz who replaced him is starting the match.
Hopefully zed prayerfully too. The Gunners will in their shootings in the match, bring 5 hefty Eagles down from their flying into the high altitude. As they park the bus in front of their goalmouth to pent Arsenal from scoring in the match in an attempt to get a goaless match result. Or could suddenly launch a counter attack in the game to score against the run of play to steal a win. But God forbids such a bad result to happen to Arsenal today.
Esr getting minutes today stadium gonna erupt if he scores.

Martinelli off the bench with a brace, this is what you call a trump card
Attacking options off the bench were brilliant, now if we can just bring in a left full back to sure things up, I’d feel more confident about us challenging well.
I see nobody noticed jorginho display when he comes in…..
He made some good passes forward, that kind of partey passes which can split defense.
I think even playing jorginho in a more advanced position like the left 8 and playing Rice as a pivot in the midfield can make us better like last season.
I.e jorginho taking the Xhaka spot.
