Description

Intro: 1800. Artfully twisted, 25 cm long flower stem surrounded by long, narrow leaves. The umbel measures five centimetres in diameter and is composed of dark purple, spherical, nodding flowers with protruding stamens. A true bee plant. After flowering, the flower fold back (recurvatus means recurved). This is an allium with a long flowering season, from late May to August. Origin: Alleghany Mountains in Wyoming (North America), but also locally in Canada and Mexico. Also suitable for more humid locations. Clud-forming growth habit.
