Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Best grown in a moist, humus, rich, well-drained soil, in partial shade. When planting, the crown must rest at or slightly above the surface to ensure survival. Mostly found in damp grasslands, high, alpine meadows and occasionally in open woodlands. Once flowers finish, usually midsummer, dodecatheon goes completely dormant, so avoid heavy moisture during this time.
