Biography: Nathan Fillion is a Canadian-American actor who gained widespread recognition for his role as Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds in the science fiction television series Firefly (2002) and the subsequent film Serenity (2005). Although Firefly was short-lived, it developed a cult following and remains a beloved series among fans.

Following Firefly, Fillion went on to star as Richard Castle in the popular television series Castle (2009-2016), which followed a crime novelist working alongside an NYPD detective. The show's successful run further established Fillion's reputation as a talented and charismatic actor.

In addition to his work in television, Nathan Fillion has appeared in numerous films, including Slither (2006) and Super (2010), as well as providing voice acting for animated projects such as Monsters University (2013) and Cars 3 (2017). He has also made guest appearances on a variety of TV shows and currently stars in the series The Rookie (2018-present), playing the role of John Nolan, a middle-aged police officer.
