Poland’s Marcin Tomaszewski has made the first ascent of a spectacular new single pitch on one of the most famous attractions in Norway, the 600m high granite Preikestolen - or Pulpit Rock - above the Lysefjorden in Western Norway. The new climb did not go unnoticed: it tops out onto the 25m x 25m wide summit platform that attracts in the region of 200,000 tourists each year. Last week Tomaszewski bolted the pitch from above and while Thor currently checks in with some fairly stiff 7c climbing, plans in the future are to extend the climb much, much further down.
