Description
Stout stems with one to three, elongated bells of deep red-bronze, freckled in gold. The tips of the petals are turned back revealing some of the interior colouring which is pure gold with burnished brown markings.
This is an easy, hardy species which is best outside in the garden. It likes humus-enriched soils but ones with good drainage. Damp rather than bone dry over the summer. It takes sun or very light shade. Easy to grow, but increasingly difficult to obtain.
