Description
This stock has been raised from seedlings of the progeny of the S&L seed collection made in Bhutan some years ago.
Having been brought through a few generations in cultivation it seems very ‘growable’ and has stabilised to a strain bearing larger, paler bells than the old form in cultivation – who is to say what is the ‘normal’ form of this variable species?
The larger bells of this plant attracted my attention enough to get me close, at which range it is possible to detect a faint, sweet scent.
Very lovely and perfectly happy in half shade in a humus rich soil.
