Reishi Dual Extract Tincture
This double extraction tincture was made with dried Reishi slices gathered deep in the wild hemlock forests of Western North Carolina in the Summer of 2023. Reishi, also known as the mushroom of immortality, has been traditionally used as an adaptogen, cardiotonic, antiviral, hepaprotective, lung tonic, nervine, and immunomodulator for thousands of years. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reishi helps calm and ground shen, our individual soul or consciousness that resides in our heart. Reishi soothes disturbed shen that presents as insomnia, instability, nightmares, sleeplessness, and anxiety.
It also supports our ability to regulate during times of intense stress or after illness, bringing us back to homeostasis with its adaptogenic qualities. How To Use
Take 1-3 droppers or as needed up to 3x per day. We recommend experimenting with this plant in small doses. Reishi is powerful on a very energetic level, and we enjoy its benefits in doses as small as a few drops.

ABOUT TINCTURES
Tinctures are alcohol-based extracts of fresh or dried herbs offered as “simples” (one herb extract) or “formulas” (multiple herbs blended together). A dual-extract tincture is made with both a tincture and a decoction–this is the best way to get all of the benefits of medicinal mushrooms.
We love tinctures because they are extremely portable, potent, and last for 3-5 years if not indefinitely. Alcohol is also a fairly universal solvent and can extract most constituents, making them a simple way to imbibe a plant’s spectrum of healing benefits. While generally heating and drying on its own, the energetics of an alcohol-based formula (like all extracts) will vary depending on the herbs it contains.
Alcohol-based tinctures can be taken on their own sublingually, in a glass of water or juice, added to a cup of tea, mixed with a bit of honey and swallowed, or even applied topically (depending on the blend). Since the spring of 2023, we have shifted to using organic gluten-free cane alcohol for all of our tinctures but older bottles may contain organic gluten-free grain alcohol.
