Sandra Strømme - Artist
Sandra Strømme is a painter with a diverse background that spans countries and vocations. Born in Norway and raised in the South of France and Monaco, her passion for art led her to study several years under the esteemed Norwegian classical painter Bjørn Algrim, before expanding her art education at the Sorbonne in Paris.
Prior to fully embracing her calling as an artist, life took her on an expedition through academia and global affairs. Working internationally for the United Nations for 4 years and acquiring Master's degrees in Medieval History and Journalism in London and Paris, she had the opportunity to immerse herself in different cultures across France, Norway, Italy, the UK, Singapore, and Myanmar.
Drawing from her multifaceted background, Sandra’s art is politically engaged, all while seeking to transcend the limitations of time, place and culture. Through a dynamic interplay of figurative shapes, colours, and symbols, she invites the viewer to travel with her through the boundless realms of the surreal in an effort to communicate universal complexities of the human experience.
