The background resulted in a mountain and sky topography which I wanted to enhance. After looking at it for months on a corner wall in the studio the idea to use mountain flowers emerged. When I make these sgraffito scratched drawings I end up feeling way to precious about them and find it challenging to work over it. The tulips prevailed.
Background is sgraffito in oil on MDF board.
Collage is done with mono printed paper and varnished.
MDF board… is mounted on wooden frame and then framed in teak box frame 7cm deep.
Ready to hang.
