From Scotland, comes the legend of The Buggane. Possibly developing around the 10th Century, The Buggane is a large, humanoid beast. Some say he is 10 feet tall and covered in thick black fur. They have long tusks protruding from their face and also have long claws. The Buggane is a malevolent spirit that likes to cause chaos. They are known to push sheep herds off cliffs and to damage wheat bundles in the field. Bugganes also dislike religious symbolism and were known to destroy Churches in the Region around the 12th Century. In particular, St. Trinian Church (which still stands) had it's roof tore off no less than 3 times by The Buggane (it was not replaced the last time).
