CloseThe Leopard Plant is a perennial that dies down in the winter but has a big, bold presence when it emerges in the spring. Large, rounded leaves are up to a foot across, green on top with purple undersides, forming a mound two to three feet tall and 18 to 30 inches wide. This specimen should not be allowed to dry out in the summer and in fact does well in boggy locations, near ponds or other water features. Yellowish-orange, daisy-like blooms appear in late summer and into the fall before the cold causes the Leopard Plant to die down. Both the foliage and flowers are wonderful additions to cut-flower arrangements.
