Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in my garden, home, and travel! Enjoy.

Wild Ginger & Mixed Hosta

One of the wonderful aspects of our small garden is that we have both full-sun areas and shade areas. This particular small garden receives only a small bit of dappled sunlight through the Crepe Myrtle above. In the front, the two lush Wild Ginger plants have tripled in size in just two seasons. This area is on a slight hill and we think the drainage has contributed to the growth of what has been planted here. A mixture of hosta variety, including my favorite, “Blue Mouse Ears,” contribute to this more structured part of our garden.

This “Blue Mouse Ears” Hosta was a recent gift from Alex’s mom, Carolyn. We planted it a few weeks ago and it is just the absolute cutest little thing in my garden!
