Diegordito Interviews Keyra

Keyra grew up as a wrestling fan

She usually went to CMLL Arena Coliseo, taken there by her grandfather

Her first memory was being in the aisle and sticking her hand out for Shocker Kids got in for 1 peso

She would watch wrestling every Sunday on TV. She didn't know women were allowed to wrestle and she saw Faby vs Estrellita, and got into it even more.

She wanted to go training and she asked her mother. Who was very supportive and helped her find a school to train at. She was trained first by Angel Mortal.

It was all men there. She was very uncomfortable bc she was the only girl and still a child. So she switched gyms for Tony Cirio

Keyra is a very shy and reserved person that is incredibly easy to shame.

She found it easy to train and learn.

Keyra did not like school and would rather go training. Would actually fall asleep at school and not go at all.

She started training at 13

Keyra trained almost 2 years and then was looking at a magazine that featured the son of ultra famous footballer Cuahtemoc Blanco, who was being trained by Gran Apache. She noticed this and wanted to train there too. Her mother arranged for her to train there.

Gran Apache took her to a show after a year of training with him.

He needed to make a show and didn't have a female to fill in a spot so he took Keyra along with her. She remembers going out and buying new gear for her debut.

Keyra always wore a mask. She doesn't like people giving her attention.

She continued training and it got harder on her, her schedule where she ended up sacrificing schooling to pursue wrestling. She was still in High School. Her mother negotiated her schooling to allow her to complete her schooling

Keyra ended up training with Gran Apache full time. That is where she got connected with everyone.

Crazy Boy met her and asked her to be part of the DTU girls division. She was 15 at the time.

Keyra was working shows all over the country at 15. citing cities like Matamoros and Monterrey

She worked a show at a strip club during one of these tours at 15

She stayed training while at DTU. That was being managed by Daniel Ledesma.

At 16 she wrestled Los Traumas

Keyra stopped training with Gran Apache and wanted to look outside of AAA for opportunity because she had participated in 3 tournaments for new talent and never won

She left AAA and worked a show in San Luis within CDMX and caught the eye of Virus who was watching the show

Virus approached Keyra and asked her to train at Arena Mexico. Keyra started training there and already knew various women there. She was 17 at the time.

She liked training there and learning their style. It was different than she was used to.

Keyra never debuted for CMLL on their terms. It was Elite or Memes that made that possible.

The only work she got from the CMLL office directly was for her to appear in Cuernavaca

There is a tradition that wrestlers have to buy a bottle of booze and get hit with it or drink it. Keyra had to drink it and she did not like that at all.

At 18/19 she went independent and got dates with DTU

Lucha Memes Ledesma got her on there and booked her against Arez for her debut there

That is where she started to gain popularity and get more dates.

Her first title was with RLLL Monterrey

Keyra did not want the Marvin match. She was afraid of her expectations. Very nervous about that type of responsibility.

She dislikes Diosa Quetzal lol

Keyra is only rudo with the mask on.

She feels like she did everything she could have done on the indys and always saw herself in AAA. So the jump was always going to happen.

Keyra thinks Faby is the best and that she still has 4 years there left on her contract with AAA.

She was a champion for Reina. won it from Sillueta while hungover

She felt like the top indy woman and rejected both cmlll and aaa

Konnan convinced her of joining AAA
