Up to 3 cm in diameter, with five purple petals crossed by darker veins. Two of the petals have a whitish patch towards the base. Sepals are oblong, pointed at the tip, and crossed by green lengthwise veins. Flowers form singly or in small clusters at the top of the glandular hairy stem
Leaves:
Pinnately lobed, up to 30 cm long. Leaflets are coarsely toothed, and covered by long hairs
