Genus
Common Name

ERODIUM pelargoniiflorum

Mounding forming hardy perennial. Round fragrant green leaves and typical Pelargonium shape flowers. Long flowering April – Sept. Three lower petals are pale silver pink, three upper petals have maroon markings. Ideal for front of border or a large pot. Ht 30cm Sp 40cm. Any well drained soil. Sun. Hardy

Erodiums are undemanding plants and thrive in poor sandy soil. They look at ease in the gravel garden. Both E. manescavi and E. trifolium are vigorous enough plants to survive in the herbaceous border – both discreetly self-seed. E. guttatum and E. chrysanthum are more diminutive and are better suited to planting in paving or troughs. All Erodiums are salt tolerant and well-suited to marine gardens.
