HELICON 800 MK2, the largest floorstanding model in the

Hybrid Tweeter Module | All HELICON MK2 speakers (except 

HELICON S600 MK2) feature a hybrid tweeter module with a 1” dome 

and a ribbon tweeter. The dome reproduces the full high-frequency 

range. But like all dome tweeters, it starts beaming at frequencies 

above approximately 13 kHz. To compensate, the ribbon tweeter is 

gently rolled in above that point. 

Low Loss Drivers | All HELICON MK2 mid/woofer drivers are 

designed with lightweight wood fiber cones. Combined with low loss 

rubber surrounds and suspensions, the cones can move lightning fast, 

transforming the tiniest electrical signal to subtle musical detail.

Vice Grip Bi-amping/wiring Binding Posts | All new high quality

Non-resonant Cabinets | The HELICON MK2 cabinets are made of 

laminated Medium Density Fiber boards (MDF), which makes them 

inert to build-up of disturbing resonance. The real wood surfaces are

The dedicated HELICON STAND MK2 is a solid foundation for 

HELICON 300 MK2, positioning the speaker at an optimum 

height for listeners seated in normal furniture. 

Spikes or rubber feet can be used between the stand/speaker 

and stand/floor.

Spikes | All HELICON MK2 speakers (except HELICON 300 MK2 

and C200 MK2) include a set of four spikes and protecting tablets. 

Depending on your floor, the spikes might improve clarity and 

soundstage. 

Bass Port | All HELICON MK2 speakers (except HELICON S600) are 

ported on the rear side of the cabinet. For reduced turbulence, the 

ports are trumpet-shaped. The ports ensure optimum time/phase 

response for more natural sound reproduction.

HELICON C200 MK2 center channel loudspeaker is designed 

to play a leading role in the finest multi-channel audio 

system. Since most of the dialogue and on-screen effects 

of any motion picture soundtrack are directed to the center 

channel, it makes sense to select the best. 

Placed beneath the screen (we recommend mounting it 

directly on top of the HELICON S600 subwoofer), HELICON 

C200 generates a soundstage perfectly matched to the 

onscreen action for a convincing viewing experience. 

Magnetically shielded for safe placement close to a television 

and employing essentially the same driver complement as 

HELICON 400 MK2, HELICON C200 MK2 takes the drama out 

of system selection and set-up, while perfectly capturing all 

the drama of your favorite films.

The sculptural HELICON S600 MK2 dual-driver subwoofer is 

dedicated to deep bass, the final frontier in home

The reproduction of the bottom octaves with natural weight 

and authority is essential to the believability of both music 

and movies, yet it is also the most difficult aspect of the audio 

spectrum to reproduce with full force and body. 

And we're not just talking about explosions and special 

effects. The subtle spacial cues that define the size, shape and 

character of a recorded space include substantial deep bass 

components that must be rendered accurately, yet potent for a 

more complete sonic illusion. 

HELICON S600 MK2 delivers the subsonic goods with power 

to spare. 

C200 STAND | Instead of using HELICON S600 MK2 as stand for C200 

MK2, a second option is available; a discreet, non-resonant stand. The 

stand is black, made of aluminum with vibration absorbers made of 

rubber (not pictured). 

Powerful Amplifier | The amplifier in HELICON S600 MK2 is a 300 W 

powerful Class A/B design with a power supply that uses a toroidal 

transformer. The advantage is significantly lower magnetic radiation 

(that can potentially induce 50/60 Hz noise). The subwoofer can be 

used both in music and movie setups.

When asked what was the hardest part of creating a work of art, a great artist is said to 

have replied, “Knowing when to stop.” 

The story may be apocryphal, but it is certainly apropos. 

The purpose of a loudspeaker system can be summed up in just a few words - to create 

the illusion that the listener is actually experiencing the recorded event "live". 

But defining a goal and realizing it are two very different things. 

To fulfil this ambitious goal, DALI HELICON MK2 loudspeakers incorporate:

Hybrid Tweeter Module 

The specially designed DALI hybrid tweeter 

module is more than a distinctive visual 

element in the HELICON MK2 series. On its 

own, a conventional soft dome tweeter will 

"beam" sound at higher frequencies (typically 

above 10 kHz), covering only a narrow area 

directly in front of the speaker. Listeners 

outside this "sweet spot" will experience 

significantly reduced high frequency output, 

resulting in duller sound. 

In order to deliver the full spectrum of sound 

across a wider listening area , DALI employs 

an innovative high-frequency ribbon driver 

to enhance response above 13 kHz. With the 

fine-tuned DALI hybrid tweeter module, great 

sound is not only available at a "hot seat" 

centered between the speakers. Now you 

can share that great sound with friends and 

family with no restrictions.

Driver Technology 

High performance loudspeakers require 

outstanding components which is why we at 

DALI make designing the best drivers for a 

given speaker a high priority. 

The individual drivers must transform 

as much of the electrical signal from the 

amplifier to an acoustic signal, preserving the 

full spectrum with perfect timing and perfect 

integration. 

To maximize the throughput, DALI drivers 

have low internal losses; we use low loss 

rubber surrounds, light/stiff wood fiber 

cones, lightweight domes and magnetically 

saturated Class A magnet systems. The 

drivers are also optimized to minimize flow 

losses round the chassis/spider/magnet 

system. All in all, these unique drivers are 

designed to be a perfect match in a complete 

speaker system.

Crossovers 

The basic task of the crossover filter is to 

ensure that each driver receives only the 

portion of the total frequency range that it is 

optimized to reproduce. The crossover filter 

is also to ensure, that each contribution from 

the drivers are phase aligned and in correct 

phase. 

DALI's crossovers are designed for smooth, 

seamless sound, as if everything you hear 

originated from a single ideal drive unit. 

All components are of very high quality. The 

component layout is optimized by ear to 

eliminate component crosstalk. The unique 

combination of crossovers and drivers in the 

HELICON MK2 series presents a very easy 

impedance load as seen from the amplifier.

Binding Posts 

For enhanced performance, the HELICON 

MK2 series features newly developed 

binding posts. The base is a laser-cut 

aluminum plate, mounted to the cabinet with six 

hex-screws. Fine thread on the binding posts 

allows extra torque on the connected speaker 

cable for unimpeded signal transfer. For a 

shorter signal path, the conductor consists of 

a single piece of gold-plated metal.
