Paris Hilton appeared in a Las Vegas court room Monday morning where she pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors: drug possession and obstructing a police officer. Hilton on Aug. 28 was arrested after police pulled over a vehicle in which she was the passenger. The driver of the car was arrested on DUI drug charges. Hilton was arrested when it was found that her purse contained .8 grams of cocaine. In court, Hilton admitted to obstructing justice that night, saying to the judge, "I said that the purse wasn't mine to the offcer." Initially Hilton denied the purse was hers. The judge sentenced Hilton to a one-year jail sentence, but the heiress will not have to serve any jail time so long as she fulfills the terms of her plea deal. Specifically, Hilton has agreed to pay a $2,000 fine, complete 200 hours of community service and complete an outpatient drug program. If Hilton is arrested for anything other than a minor traffic violation, she would have to begin and complete her jail sentence. "The Clark County detention center is not the Waldorf-Astoria," the judge warned Hilton when impressing upon her the seriousness of her sentence. Hilton's next court date was set for Sept 20, 2011. If all terms of Hilton's probation are met by then, she will not have to appear in court at that time. Related slideshow:The life and times of Paris Hilton
