Description
Lilium mackliniae A rarely grown species lily named by the famous plant hunter Frank Kingdon Ward for his wife. Endemic to the Naga Hills of NE India where it grows on grassy slopes amongst various rhododendrons including macabeanum and johnstoneanum. This species grows to around two feet in height with nodding and open bell-shaped flowers ranging from exquisite pale to deep pink or rarely white in late spring – stunning. A fantastic and choice species of great beauty and charm. Best in a well-drained but organic soil with summer irrigation, sun or light shade. Blooming-size bulbs (0) RSBG
